Season 41: Scarlet Embers will finally go live officially on June 17. The two things I’m most looking forward to in this update are the new Assassin hero Hirara and Angela’s First Recharge skin Wind-Up Courier.

Hirara fills the Assassin/Jungler role. According to her lore, she was saved by Hanabi in her childhood and later became Hanabi’s personal guard. She ventures deep into the underworld to seize a legendary ninja tool. Hirara’s character design blends Japanese geisha and ninja aesthetics, featuring blue hair and a red-and-black outfit color scheme. Her two fans are named Kaerazu and Meisen-e respectively, which further echo her geisha persona. The character already exudes a distinctive charm just from her setting alone.

In terms of mechanics, she is a typical hero with a high skill ceiling. Her two skills can be cast independently or combined via dragging: dragging Skill 1 into Skill 2 deals area-of-effect (AOE) damage; dragging Skill 2 into Skill 1 puts her in an untargetable state before unleashing high burst damage, which helps her dodge enemy abilities and reposition herself. This is precisely what makes Hirara more difficult to deal with than many average Assassins. If you spam skills randomly, you may run out of energy before a team fight even begins. But if you pick the right combo at the right timing, Hirara can quickly dive into the enemy backline, evade danger, and pick off low-health enemies.

Put simply, when mastered, this hero is a dominant team fight finisher; when misplayed, she becomes little more than a feeder for the enemy team. Her skill ceiling is on par with Ling and Fanny, and she places extremely high demands on hand speed. She will almost certainly be a staple ban pick in the early days of the season. If you plan to learn her, it is recommended to build muscle memory for her combos in Practice Mode first.

Moving on from Hirara, let’s shift our focus to Angela’s Wind-Up Courier skin. This is an Elite-tier skin offered as a season-exclusive First Recharge reward. The acquisition method is straightforward: once the season goes live, make a diamond top-up of any amount to unlock First Recharge eligibility, then purchase the skin directly for 100 Diamonds. Frankly, by the standards of MLBB’s paid skins, this entry requirement is practically a giveaway.

The skin sports a retro postman uniform in blue-and-gold tones, with a short-haired, beast-ear design. She carries a gift-box mail bag decorated with a bow, and its delicate, adorable style fits perfectly with her doll-like hero identity. Do note that the MLBB × Sanrio collaboration Angela skin Heartstring also releases in June. These two are completely separate skins, so don’t mix them up. If you’re on a budget, Wind-Up Courier is clearly the more cost-effective choice — a season-exclusive skin for only 100 Diamonds, there’s almost no reason to hesitate.

Of course, if you plan to get both skins, Diamonds are absolutely essential. I personally use COCODP, which is very straightforward to use: just enter your Player ID, select your desired top-up tier, and complete the payment. Servers are bound to be congested on the day of the season update, so a stable recharge channel matters more than anything. If you want to stock up on Diamonds ahead of time, you can check out COCODP for more details.

Getting back to the game itself, Hirara typically sits at peak strength during her initial release phase. Players looking to climb ranks can grind more matches in her dominant first-week window. For skin collectors, Angela’s Wind-Up Courier is a one-time season-exclusive skin that will never return once the event ends. If you’re looking forward to both, you’re in for a real treat.

It is quite rare to have two highly anticipated releases packed into a single season.
