A lot of sci-fi series have big ideas and weak character work. This one did not really survive on concept alone. It kept people watching because the 100 characters felt messy, reactive, flawed, and sometimes frustrating in ways that made sense. Nobody stayed simple for long. That mattered. Even when the plot got wild, the people inside it still carried enough tension to keep the story grounded....
